The Dutch startup Nocks, which conveniently combines accepting payments for companies and trading in cryptocurrency Gulden, expands with a license as cPSP. It is the first time that a cryptocurrency-focused company can present itself as an iDeal partner.
Entrepreneurs will soon also be able to accept iDeal payments through Nocks.
Recently, a license requirement for cryptocurrency companies was also announced. The requirements of customer identification have long been met by various companies in the industry, but an actual law would also allow for further professionalization.
“For a long time now, Nocks has had a strict KYC policy whereby we handle the identification of our customers in advance. So that they can then make use of our trading services. Anti-fraud and risk are important parts of our business and require constant attention. Thanks to the knowledge and experience we have gained in recent years, we were able to complete our registration as a payment institution with DNB last year and can now also start as a payment service provider. That you need iDeal to be competitive is a no-brainer. So we are very happy with obtaining our iDeal certificate. Thus Co-founder & CEO Roel Boer.
For the time being, the most important part of the company is Nocks’ trading platform, on which you can trade Gulden with euros. Users can convert Gulden to euros there.
“We started out as a cryptocurrency trading platform. As a result, we come from a corner of the market that regulators, among others, have little or no insight into. We still need a lot of information, clarification & consultation. Understandable and in our opinion 100% necessary for a piece of professionalization in the cryptocurrency space & all the services we provide to our users withocks. Whether that is trading in cryptocurrency or for our business customers processing their payments.
