The new Gulden Lite Wallet is available as of today.

This is a desktop wallet that mainly syncs quickly and is intended for users who just need a simple wallet.

For more extensive functionalities such as Witnessing and Mining there is the already existing ‘Pro’ Wallet.

The Lite Wallet installs itself in a complete separate data directory and is therefore safe to use next to the “Pro” version. Please note that the Lite Wallet is not intended to be used with your recovery sentence of the full ‘Pro’ wallet. So for existing users, the new wallet is especially interesting to quickly create a second wallet for daily use. As usual, save the new recovery sentence carefully and possibly mark it as ‘Lite’ to avoid confusion later.

The new Lite Wallet is the first Gulden wallet built with Electron. This means that the Gulden backend is now ready for it and it has become easier for developers to write their own apps for the Gulden Blockchain.
