Important Update for Gulden desktop wallets. Release 2.5.0 is now available  on: Gulden.com/download. 

Reward changes

At block 1619997, a one-time payment of 100 million Gulden will be made to address GSTG9pQ6yRdGurmjUDGwm8FyYc272vP13b. This will simultaneously stop the Dev reward. The rewards for Witness and Mining will remain unchanged for the time being until the next halving, as programmed in the code.

The 100 million coins will be sold slowly to investors via Blockhut over time. This will secure the salaries for the developers and thus the continuity of the project.

In order to reach a maximum supply of 700 million Gulden there are the following minor adjustments:
– The halving is slightly accelerated to block 2074989.
– Every halving the numbers will be rounded off.
– The halving will continue longer.
– The total supply will only be reached after >1000 years, so there will always be small mining/witness rewards.
